This Privacy Policy explains how Start My Business Inc. ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use FleetCommand Pro ("the Platform") at getfleetcommand.com. Start My Business Inc. is a brand management and business buildout company that builds and licenses SaaS platforms. FleetCommand Pro is one of our products.
By using the Platform, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Platform.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Personal Information
When you create an account, subscribe to a plan, or contact our support team, we may collect:
- Full name and job title
- Email address and phone number
- Company name and business address
- Billing information (credit card number, billing address) -- processed through our third-party payment processor; we do not store full card numbers on our servers
- Account login credentials (passwords are encrypted and never stored in plain text)
1.2 Fleet and Vehicle Data
When you use the Platform to manage your fleet operations, we collect and process:
- Vehicle identification numbers (VINs), license plate numbers, and registration details
- Driver names, license numbers, and certification records
- Maintenance records, inspection reports, and service history
- Dispatch records, load assignments, and delivery schedules
- Hours of Service (HOS) logs and compliance documentation
- Fuel purchase records and mileage data
1.3 GPS and Location Data
The Platform collects real-time GPS and location data from vehicles and devices connected to the system. This includes:
- Real-time vehicle location coordinates
- Historical route data and trip histories
- Speed, heading, and idle time
- Geofence entry and exit events
GPS data is collected continuously while tracking is enabled. You can disable tracking for specific vehicles through the Platform's settings, though doing so may limit certain features.
1.4 Usage Data
We automatically collect information about how you interact with the Platform, including:
- Pages visited, features used, and actions taken within the Platform
- Browser type, operating system, device type, and screen resolution
- IP address and general geographic location (city/region level)
- Session duration, login timestamps, and access frequency
- Referring URLs and search terms used to find the Platform

We use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to operate the Platform and improve your experience. See Section 11 (Cookie Policy) for full details.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- Providing the Service: Operating the Platform, processing subscriptions, managing your account, and delivering the fleet management features you use.
- Fleet Operations: Enabling real-time tracking, dispatch, compliance monitoring, route optimization, and driver management functions.
- Billing and Payments: Processing subscription fees, sending invoices, and managing billing inquiries.
- Communication: Sending account notifications, service updates, security alerts, and responding to support requests.
- Improvement and Development: Analyzing usage patterns to improve the Platform, fix bugs, develop new features, and optimize performance.
- Security: Detecting, preventing, and responding to fraud, unauthorized access, and other security threats.
- Legal Compliance: Meeting regulatory obligations, responding to legal requests, and enforcing our Terms of Use.
3. GPS and Location Data Practices
Because the Platform handles real-time GPS tracking, we want to be specific about how location data is managed:
- GPS data is used solely for fleet management functions such as tracking, routing, geofencing, and compliance reporting.
- We do not sell GPS or location data to advertisers or data brokers.
- Location data is retained according to the schedule described in Section 6 (Data Retention).
- Drivers and fleet operators should be informed by their employer or Licensee that GPS tracking is active during work hours.
4. How We Share Your Information
4.1 With Your Licensee Company
FleetCommand Pro operates as a multi-tenant platform. If your account is managed by a White Label Licensee (for example, the trucking company or fleet operator that subscribes to the Platform), that Licensee may have access to your fleet data, driver information, and operational records within their tenant. The Licensee is responsible for their own use of this data and should provide you with their privacy practices.
4.2 With Service Providers
We share information with third-party service providers who help us operate the Platform, including:
- Cloud hosting and infrastructure providers
- Payment processors
- Email delivery services
- Analytics and monitoring tools
- Customer support platforms
These providers are contractually required to protect your information and may only use it to perform services on our behalf.
4.3 For Legal Reasons
We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, court order, or government regulation, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
4.4 Business Transfers
If Start My Business Inc. is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change and any choices you may have regarding your data.
5. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including:
- Encryption of data in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest
- Access controls and role-based permissions
- Regular security audits and vulnerability assessments
- Secure data centers with physical access controls
- Employee training on data handling and security practices
No system is 100% secure. While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.
6. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. Specific retention periods include:
- Account data: Retained while your account is active and for 90 days after deletion, to allow for account recovery.
- Fleet and operational data: Retained for the duration of your subscription plus 30 days for data export.
- GPS and location data: Retained for up to 24 months, after which it is aggregated or deleted.
- Billing records: Retained for 7 years to comply with tax and accounting regulations.
- Usage analytics: Retained in anonymized form indefinitely for product improvement.
7. Children's Privacy
The Platform is designed for business use and is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected information from a child under 18, we will delete that information promptly. 8. California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA):
- Right to Know: You can request a detailed report of the personal information we have collected about you in the past 12 months, including the categories and specific pieces of information, the sources, the business purposes, and the third parties we shared it with.
- Right to Delete: You can request that we delete your personal information, subject to certain exceptions (such as legal obligations or ongoing service requirements).
- Right to Correct: You can request correction of inaccurate personal information.
- Right to Opt Out of Sale: We do not sell your personal information. If this practice changes, we will provide a clear opt-out mechanism.
- Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

9. Your Rights
Regardless of your location, you may exercise the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.

- Deletion: Request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal and contractual exceptions.
- Data Portability: Request an export of your data in a commonly used, machine-readable format.
- Withdrawal of Consent: Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent at any time. This does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
- Objection: Object to certain types of processing, such as direct marketing.

10. International Users
The Platform is operated from the United States. If you access the Platform from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States. By using the Platform, you consent to this transfer. We will take reasonable steps to protect your data in accordance with this Privacy Policy regardless of where it is processed.
11. Cookie Policy
We use the following types of cookies and tracking technologies:
- Strictly Necessary Cookies: Required for the Platform to function. These handle authentication, session management, and security features. You cannot opt out of these.
- Functional Cookies: Remember your preferences, such as language settings, dashboard layout, and map preferences.
- Analytics Cookies: Help us understand how users interact with the Platform so we can improve performance and features. These collect anonymized usage data.
- Marketing Cookies: Used on our marketing pages to measure the effectiveness of our advertising. These are not used within the fleet management dashboard itself.
You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings. Blocking certain cookies may affect your ability to use some features of the Platform.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will revise the "Effective" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will provide additional notice through email or an in-app notification. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
